Nineteen-year-old Almorie Nagayi has
been crowned Miss Uganda 2026 following a glamorous grand finale held at
Sheraton Kampala Hotel on Saturday, October 10, as the country’s flagship
beauty pageant celebrated 15 years of promoting young Ugandan women.
The live televised event attracted
pageantry enthusiasts, supporters, sponsors, partners and invited guests who
gathered to witness the crowning of the new queen after a nationwide search
that began on July 26. The competition featured 22 finalists representing
different parts of Uganda.
The grand finale blended beauty,
fashion, music and entertainment, with performances from Abeeka Band, Karole
Kasita and Grace Nakimera adding excitement to the evening. Colourful displays
and activations from sponsors and partners also contributed to the
celebrations, marking a significant milestone in the history of Miss Uganda.
Beyond the audience gathered at
Sheraton Kampala Hotel, viewers across Uganda followed the competition through
a live broadcast on StarTimes Makula KiKa, bringing the celebrations into homes
across the country.
The broadcast enabled audiences to
watch the performances, follow the competition and witness the moment Nagayi
was crowned the new Miss Uganda.
StarTimes Vice President Kenneth
Kazooba commended viewers, sponsors and partners for supporting the latest
edition of the pageant.
“StarTimes strongly appreciates that
the success of Miss Uganda, ‘Journey to the Crown’ is a big statement. We are
grateful to our loyal audience which increasingly voted with their eyes and
gadgets in appreciation for Season 3,” Kazooba said.

Ugandan women to showcase their confidence, aspirations, talents and potential.
The journey to the crown involved
regional selections, the unveiling of the 22 finalists during Presentation
Night and the final contest that culminated in Nagayi’s victory.
StarTimes Director of Business
Development Klaire Komakech described the grand finale as a memorable
celebration of the pageant’s anniversary and expressed gratitude to the
partners who contributed to the event.
She recognised V&A Sherry,
Vaseline, U Home, Evervess and 7 Days for their continued support. Komakech
also highlighted lead sponsor Oppein Home for providing luxurious gifts and
hampers to the top queens.
The organisers credited the
sponsors, partners and broadcast team for their contribution to delivering the
